About Hamilton Pro Plumbing
Hamilton Pro Plumbing is a plumbing referral and dispatch service for Hamilton, Ohio and nearby Butler County. When you call our 24/7 line, your call may be answered by, or forwarded to, an independent plumbing provider who serves your area. That provider gives the estimate, sets the schedule and does the work.
We would rather say that plainly than dress it up. Here is what you can expect when you call, what we ask of the plumbers who take our calls, and what we do not do.

What happens when you call
A person answers, day or night. You describe what you see, where it is, and whether the water is off. If water is still running, the first help you get is finding the main shutoff. Then you get a realistic arrival window, not a promised minute, based on the time and your address.
On site, the cause is diagnosed before any repair starts, and you are given the price for the work before it begins. For planned, non-emergency work such as a water heater replacement or a repipe, estimates are free. You decide before paying for anything.
The standards we hold the work to
- Permitted work gets a permit. In Hamilton, permits for plumbing, gas and sewer work are pulled under a city Master Registration. Outside Hamilton and Middletown, the Butler County General Health District issues plumbing permits.
- Work meets the Ohio Plumbing Code, which is based on the 2021 International Plumbing Code (IPC).
- Price before work. No surprise charges added after the job.
- Honest limits. If a repair will not last, or a part is no longer made, you hear that before paying for it.
- Call-only contact. There are no web forms on this site, so your details are only shared when you choose to call.
Why this site is so specific to Hamilton
Plumbing problems here are shaped by local facts. The city runs its own water, gas, electric and wastewater utilities. Owners are responsible for the whole sewer lateral to the public main under city code section 931.031. Older houses in German Village, Dayton Lane and Rossville are the most likely to have galvanized pipe, clay laterals and lead service lines, and the city is working through a lead line replacement program.
Basements sit above the Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer, where groundwater runs high in wet months, and the 1913 flood still shapes how people think about the river. Nearby towns each have their own water systems and rules. The pages on this site are written around those facts so they are useful before anyone arrives, whether or not you call.
What we do not do
We do not publish reviews, star ratings or customer counts we cannot verify, and we do not claim licenses or certifications on this site. You should verify credentials yourself, and our guide on checking a plumber's Hamilton Master Registration explains how.
Some work is outside what the plumbers we route to take on, including drilling wells or pulling well pumps, large new-construction projects, and specialized industrial process piping. When a call needs a different specialist, you will be told.
Where we work
The center of our coverage is the City of Hamilton, ZIP codes 45011, 45013 and 45015. We also cover Fairfield, Oxford, Trenton, Ross Township and Liberty Township, each with its own page describing the local water system and the problems homeowners there call about most.

When to call right away, and what can wait
Knowing the difference saves money on after-hours rates and keeps real emergencies moving.
- Call now: water spraying or pouring, sewage coming up a drain, a leaking water heater tank, a sump pit about to overflow, or no water on a freezing morning.
- Leave first, then call: any smell of gas. Call the gas utility or 911 from outside.
- Can usually wait: a dripping faucet, a running toilet, one slow drain, or a planned replacement.
- Not sure: call anyway. A two-minute conversation settles it.
Our commitments on every call
Every call gets the same treatment regardless of the size of the job. You get a straight answer about whether it needs someone tonight. You get the price before work starts. You are told when a repair is a temporary fix and when it is the lasting one, so you can decide where to spend.
And when a job is simple enough that you could handle it yourself, such as resetting a tripped disposal or relighting a pilot by the label instructions, you will be told that too.
Water damage is handled separately
Stopping a leak and drying out a house are different jobs. The drying and cleanup side has its own phone line, listed on those pages, so your call reaches the right kind of help.
